Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
At RiftLibrary, accessible from riftlibrary.xyz, the privacy of our users is our top priority. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information collected and recorded by RiftLibrary and how we utilize it to enhance your deck-building experience.
1. Consent
By using our website, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms. This policy applies to all visitors to our website regarding the information they share and/or collect within the RiftLibrary ecosystem.
2. Information We Collect
Account Data: When you register, we collect your username and email address. We use secure hashing for passwords; we never store your actual password in plain text.
Third-Party Authentication (Google Login): If you choose to log in using Google, we receive basic profile information authorized by your Google privacy settings (specifically your email address and public profile name/avatar). This data is strictly used to create your RiftLibrary account.
User-Generated Content: To provide our services, we store your digital card collection (Card IDs) and any deck strings, titles, or metadata created within our builder tool.
Communication: If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information such as the content of the message.
3. Cookies and Browser Storage
RiftLibrary uses Cookies and Local Storage to improve user experience. This includes keeping you logged in across sessions and temporarily saving "draft" decks in your browser. We do not use these technologies for third-party advertisement tracking.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the collection tracker and deck builder.
- Synchronize your collection across multiple devices.
- Communicate with you for technical support and feature updates.
- Detect and prevent fraudulent activity.
5. Log Files and Analytics
RiftLibrary relies on standard cloud infrastructure (provided by our hosting platform, Render) to keep our web services secure and operational. When you visit our site, the hosting network automatically collects basic, non-identifiable system metadata such as your anonymized IP address, browser type, and timestamps. This routing data is handled at the server layer solely for performance monitoring, site administration, and protecting the website against malicious activities. We do not use this data to personally identify or track individual users.
6. GDPR & CCPA Data Protection Rights
We want to ensure you are fully aware of your data rights. Every user is entitled to:
The right to access & rectification: You can request copies of your data or ask us to correct inaccuracies. The right to erasure: You have the right to request that we erase your personal data. You can perform this instantly by using the "Delete Account" feature in your profile settings, which wipes your email and all saved decks from our database.
7. Legal Disclaimer & Third Parties
First and foremost, RiftLibrary does not sell, rent, or trade your data to brokers or advertisers. To make accessing accounts easier, RiftLibrary offers an optional Google Login feature. When using this feature, users interact directly with Google's authentication portal, which is governed by Google’s own privacy policy. Additionally, this privacy policy does not apply to external links found on the RiftLibrary pages. Users are encouraged to check the privacy settings of any external sites they visit.
